The Aztec Empire was made around the 13th century and continued to grow into the 15th century. The Aztec empire covered most of northern Mesoamerica, which we now call Mexico, and other countries such as Guatemala, Belize, El Savador, and many others. The Aztec's mostly dominated most of Mexico, thanks to their well trained Aztec warriors, surrounding states couldn't stand a chance. The Aztec had religion was very odd for the time the Aztecs believed in many gods and they also believed the Earth was flat. The Aztecs made big temples, the Aztecs refered to the temples as Teocalli, which means
"god houses". In the time of the Aztecs they were formally called the Tenochca, which stems from their city named Tenochtitlan.
